We aim for a green 2023 and will be planting trees

Thanks to the contribution from Boekenplan, Trees for all achieved amazing results in 2022. We want to share these with you because without you, we could never have planted a record number of trees! Watch this video with us to look back at the highlights of the past year.

We plant trees together with Trees for all, in sustainable reforestation projects in the Netherlands and abroad. This way, we are contributing to a healthy climate and giving something sustainable for the future. We donate our contribution to Trees for all on a monthly basis.

Cellulose

Since the 19th century, a lot of paper has been made from wood. The most important component of a tree used for paper production is called cellulose. It is a part of the plant cell that is found in almost every normal plant, but is found in high concentrations in trees. Especially spruce, pine, birch, poplar, beech, and eucalyptus are commonly used tree species in the paper industry.

Sustainable management

At least 86% of the Dutch paper and cardboard is made from recycled paper. Additionally, the new wood fibers used for the remaining percentage of new paper come from managed forests that are specifically planted for the paper industry: these are called certified forests. These forests are sustainably managed.

We help Trees for all to plant more trees faster because we believe that a forest-rich world is very important.

Now that's a great (book)plan for the future!
